Factory
Al-Rawas Marble Factory is located in Rusayl Industrial Area in Muscat on a dedicated 4.5 hecktar area.
The factory is a state-of-the-art production facility, which features two lines – one for slabs and another for tiles – with a production capacity of more than 3,000 square meters daily. The production lines work day and night in order to meet even the most urgent deadlines. Certified engineers and technicians supervise the production to ensure uncompromising quality of the slabs and the tiles. The automatic and computerized tile line contains 3 automatic block-cutters, which convert the marble blocks into strips with different thicknesses. RMG can produce marble tiles of all required size and profiles.
The foreheads calibrating units guarantee production without any thickness variation. The 3 dressing heads prepare the marble strips by smoothing their surface. The upper and lower air blowers dry the marble ready for the chemical treatment section. The chemical treatment section is mounted in the line to ensure the filling of all the holes by curing the mastic through an electrical oven at 400°C.
Then the treated marble strips are transferred to the 12 polishing heads machine, which takes the responsibility of glazing and polishing the marble to brilliant shine. The polished marble is cut by a sophisticated computerized multi-dimensional cutting machine into the required proportions. The capacity of the tile line is around 20,000 sq m monthly.
The second factory line has 3 automatic gang saws and an automatic slab polishing line. The gang saws cut the shaped marble blocks into big dimensional slabs of two and three centimeters thickness. The automatic slab polishing line contains dressing and smoothing section, chemical treatment section and finally the 12 heads polishing machine.
The monthly production of the slab line reaches 50,000 sq m. RMG, with its state-of-the-art computerized Italian production lines, assures the best quality and international standards of marble’s thickness and mirror polishing of up to 97.5 % glossiness. RMG has two automatic bridge cutters, each with a daily capacity of 400 sq m. These machines are for the production of steps and risers, kitchen tops, vanity tops or any other required design.
